Invalid version tag in server.met (0x3C)!
Invalid version tag in server.met (0x3C)!
Downloading server.met from http://www.peerates.net/servers.php via the server tab in emule gives me this error "Invalid version tag in server.met (0x3C)!". Deleted server.met and server.old and restarted the client and tried again to dl servers same result, Any ideas?

I just tried it and it's doing it to me too. http://www.gruk.org/server.met is working OK. http://upd.emule-security.org/server.met is working OK too. Must be something wrong with peerates.
Re: Invalid version tag in server.met (0x3C)!
Hmm.. I don't think peerates is providing a downloadable server.met. mimzy will know more, I expect, by analysing the code on that page. However, it is still possible to see the list and manually add the servers listed there.
Re: Invalid version tag in server.met (0x3C)!
I think emuler is right, the link http://www.peerates.net/servers.php appears to be a normal webpage and not a *.met file, so it is not possible to add servers from this link via the server tab in emule. Incidentally 0x3C is the code of '<' that any HTML document begins with.

I've been using that to update for a long time, as recently as last week.

Yeah I went and found another site (Google them there are many) and it works now.

http://peerates.net/servers.php (without www) seems to work.
