Very impressive, ghost. The screenshots are amazing. :clap May I ask what settings you used in Topaz?

If I am honest, I just can't remember. I did it with an older version (I think it was 1.38). Now they are on 1.61 and the names of the presets have changed a bit.

I guess it were even the default settings

Well... my current HD-project is Pretty Baby ;) I just can't let my fingers of this movie

Cool. I have GTX1070, so I might be able to get it done a bit faster than you if you can guide me.

I just can use my notebook. It hasn't a required GPU, so I have to be a bit patient :(

I just don't know how I could guide you...

One of the best scenes in the movie.

But I found this software: Topaz Video Enhance AI ( https://topazlabs.com/video-enhance-ai/ ).

I tried several upscaling programs and plug-ins before and therefore I was very skeptical about the promises they make.

But I was curious and tried it. And BAM!!! The results are really impressive! Sharp edges and very many details in the picture! :o

It is not cheap and decoding is very very slow, but it was worth it!! This version of the movie comes very close to HD:

I did it once more with a new version of Topaz Video Enhance AI.

This time the source was the movie from ITunes Luxembourg, which picture quality was better than the DVD.
So, if someone wants to download it again, go ahead ;)

It really looks much better now 8-)

Another great enhancement. :icon_1dancingban Thanks, ghost. :clap

Now the question is: what to do with the old versions? When the enhanced version of Du sel sur la peau (1984) was released, I wanted to delete the old one I had, but realised there were people downloading that from me.

Save everything forever, just keep buying more external drives. :D

Well, that's what I do anyway. I really should not advise others.

But it does seem reasonable to keep sharing anything that is actively being downloaded. (Then delete it quick if they foolishly log off!)

Was I not paying attention the first time I watched this?

Wicker riot shields?!? That is some gentle policing. Maybe their batons are made of cardboard tubes. (Look closely at the candy-cane stripes in the third picture.)

Thank you, ghost. The results are beautiful!

Welcome to the Netherlands! BTW they changed that since Coov! Now full indian steel! We don't want softies fighting off the anti-coov protests, right?
Not long before they'll start shooting at us (first gentle policing, as you call it, with rubber bullets), then after The Great Reset, full metal jacket! mark my words

Don't go quietly into the night.
