Independant film studio releases must be classified
Independant film studio releases must be classified
With the request of a baikal/TorstenGem film I think it's a good idea to introduce a new rule to the forum. Since an independant film studio can produce almost anything if it doesn't have to go before a legitimate classification/review board, now film information posted should concern only those recognised by one. Even rarer films generally have gone before some sort of film classification group.
Any thoughts on this subject are welcome, if you are unsure if a film has been classified by the appropriate review board then please feel free to PM any admin here.
Thanks all

Not sure what you're really asking, here...
Are you saying if we want to request a film that has never been classified [ie: that Baikal film that's an obvious collection of clips of 'special' scenes from various movies put together by God-knows-who]; we have to PM you or other admin BEFORE we make a post?
Who/what is the 'appropriate review board'? The MPAA? RFF? The UK/French/Scandanavian, ect. ect. Film Censors?
(My 'gut response' to the initial post from the newbie looking "where to find this film", was "Right there at the link you had to post twice, cheapscape." But I didn't want to seem like I was flaming a new member, so I held back.. )
Seriously though, I'm a tad confused by the 'New Rule', or at least how we are supposed to apply it as far as posting goes.
kev.

Rich just wanted to say, that FLM is a place for posting movies and not for private produced vidoes that could include illegal content.
Re: Independant film studio releases must be classified
most produced films go through a classification process, generally those that do are legitimate films, that's what i'm talking about.kev wrote:Who/what is the 'appropriate review board'? The MPAA? RFF? The UK/French/Scandanavian, ect. ect. Film Censors?
obviously there are exceptions, and of those exceptions i'm talking about those that could be seen to be controversial, just use common sense

Also discussion with regards to pornography should be taken elsewhere, considering the genre of movie information posted here, it can only serve to cause problems.

Rich wrote:Independently produced films are allowed but they must have gone through a recognised review or classification board preferably one that is internationally recognised. If a film is purported to have received a classification then depending on the nature of the film it's probably worth looking a little deeper into how it was classified. In short, if it's at IMDB - very, very rarely are they not listed there, probably about 2/3 that I posted - then it's classified and OK for FLM.
