A movie from Turkey about child marriage.
"Halam Geldi"(My Aunt has Arrived) does not just tell a story in the Greek village of Northern Cyprus, where the sounds of the Ezan is accompanied by the church bells, it also underlines a tradition in Anatolia; the drama of child brides. Three children in the village, three of them from Diyarbakir (Turkey), three of them at the age of thirteen, three of them imprisoned by their fate.

Thank you. Pressure from family and traditions, could be compared with another Turkish movie, Mustang (2015).

The English title of the film is "Aunt Flow" as shown on the title screen at the 5:20 mark. This is a common phrase used by a lot of girls to say their period has started - "visited by Aunt Flo(w)". Girls in this film's culture become marriageable as soon as they're capable of becoming pregnant, sometimes even earlier.

Strong film.
