This is another charming children's story where a boy and girl (with micro dress popular at the time), meet a number of unsavoury characters in their adventures, and eventually with the help of those they have assisted along the way, defeat all the baddies and allow the people to enjoy the festivities.

If you don't like Russian language type fairy tales, don't bother but I enjoyed this.

Finding these is a bit hit and miss (part of the fun) but generally 60s/70s are the best, and usually fairy tales of some kind. Have we no Russian peeps on the forum whoc can advise some of the titles i might like, or do I just have to keep trawling through them

Well, quite frankly, the Anglo-American Christmas crap is not really my cup of tea. This is IMO the best seasonal movie. The soundtrack is absolutely epic!

BTW, the above version is 496x384, 1200 kb/s. There is a slightly better version available that FLL posted in the newsgroup some time ago (544x416, 1500 kb/s), but a much bigger version at http://filmiki.arjlover.net/info/novogo ... i.avi.html (I think FLL mentioned that the arjlover version was not so good, but maybe they have upgraded in the mean time -- previews look nice).
