Guest: I don't think you have a problem with the container - it is what's in the container that you have issues with. Here the video stream is encoded with AVC. In others, the H.264 or x.264 codec is used.

How old is the codec pack that you are using? They are updated quite frequently, and it is easy to fall behind.

I always thought AVC, H.264 and x.264 was the same thing :huh

Pretty much. 264 is the compression and most programs use it now.

The problem here with Guest is in the encoding and the compatibility with his computer to process it and nothing else. Guest has been given ample advice on what to do about it and I gave a link recently to a program he can convert with as well. All he has to do is do it. :D

Soon enough 265 compression will be surfacing here and anyone not up to date will not be able to view those files. ;)

There are differences, mostly in the way the file is constructed. IMHO AVC has better seeking.

Wikipedia says:
x264 is a free software library for encoding video streams into the H.264/MPEG-4 AVC format.
So, "H.264" aka "MPEG-4 AVC" is the codec and x264 is the software implementing it, right?

In fact, I think huge codec packs are not needed nowadays anymore. xvid and x264 (both free/open-source) should decode anything that have been posted in the last few years.

Thanks starfish for this grand quality upload! I can't wait to give it a try. I simply can't believe the amount of film being shared here. I've scrounged for years to accumulate the collection I have now. Love these sorts of films and so happy to see a community that appreciates them!

Another awesome movie! I have been finding some excellent films on here lately.

I am always on the lookout for 8-12 yo girl primary POV films set in the 1800s or early 1900s if anyone sees this and has any suggestions. I know that's oddly specific, lol.
