This movie reminds me some other stuff I've seen here. Maybe "Arabela"

I found that both (and several other Czech movies here) are based on Miloš Macourek's books.

I think I read one of Macourek's fairytale books as a kid. I remember one fairytale about a boy who used his nose as a pen and later replaced his nose with some part of an old gramophone. Another fairytale was about a girl who hid in a mixer and was made into a cake, and then she eat herself. Pretty freaky stuff.
